Good Day Recipe is a wellness and reflection app operated by Do It Different LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the app.

Our goal is simple: collect as little data as possible, use it only to run the app, and never sell it.

What we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide the app:

• Account information
  Such as your email address, used for login and account recovery.
• Content you choose to enter
  Including reflections, habits ("ingredients"), ratings, notes, favorites, and photos or images you voluntarily upload or capture to represent your entries.
• Basic usage and diagnostic data
  Such as app interactions, crashes, and performance data, used to improve reliability and usability.
• Contacts (optional, hashed on-device)
  If you choose to find friends from your contacts, Good Day Recipe reads your device's contact book locally on your device. Phone numbers and emails are converted into one-way SHA-256 hashes before anything leaves your device. We never receive, store, or have any way to recover your contacts' phone numbers, emails, or names. Hashes are used only to match against other Good Day Recipe users who have opted into the same discovery. You can revoke contacts permission at any time in your device settings.
• Squad invite links
  When you create or accept a squad invite link, we store the invite token, the squad it belongs to, and (if accepted) the fact that you joined that squad. Invite links can be revoked by the squad owner at any time.
• Photos
  Profile pictures and ingredient photos that you choose to upload. Profile photos are cropped to 512×512 on your device before upload. Photos are stored against your account and used only to display your own content in the app.
• Identifiers
  A user ID (assigned at signup) and a device ID, used to sync your data across devices, authenticate you, and attribute crash and performance reports.
• Purchase history
  If you subscribe to Premium, our payment partners (RevenueCat on iOS/Android, Stripe on the web) provide us with your subscription status and entitlement so we can unlock Premium features and let you restore purchases. We do not receive your full credit card number.
• Analytics & session diagnostics
  We use PostHog to record app interactions and — with privacy masking applied to text inputs and media — session replays, used to diagnose bugs and improve UX. No third-party advertising SDKs are present in the app.

What we don't do

• Show third-party advertising or share data with ad networks
• Sell your personal information
• Track you across other companies' apps or websites
• Collect precise location, microphone input, health sensor data, or advertising identifiers
• Receive plaintext copies of your contacts (only on-device hashes — see Contacts above)

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the app
• Sync your data across devices
• Enable offline use
• Display your entries, including uploaded images
• Improve app performance and design
• Respond to support requests
• Maintain security and prevent abuse

We do not use your data for advertising or tracking across other apps or websites.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share limited data only with trusted service providers (such as hosting, authentication, image storage, and analytics providers) who help operate the app and are required to protect your information.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and security of users or the Service.

Your choices

You can:

• Access, edit, or delete your content and uploaded photos in the app
• Delete your account at any time
• Request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us

Data retention & security

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the Service or meet legal requirements.

We use reasonable security measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

Age requirement

Good Day Recipe is intended for users 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
